Speaker's Statement
Mr. Deputy Speaker: Prior to Routine Proceedings, I have a statement for the House. I must
inform the House that Brian Pallister, the honourable member for Portage la Prairie, has resigned
his seat in the House effective April 28, 1997. I am, therefore, tabling his resignation and my
letter to the Lieutenant Governor in Council advising of the vacancy thus created in the
membership of the House.
