Your Committee agreed not to complete clause by clause consideration of: (No. 32) The Victims' Rights Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur les droits des victimes (No. 33) The Highway Traffic Amendment and Consequential Amendments Act/Loi modifiant le Code de la route et modifications corrélatives but to defer such consideration to a future meeting of the Committee. On motion of Mr. Martindale, the Report of the Committee was received. ______________________________ Hon. Mr. Robinson, the Minister of Aboriginal and Northern Affairs, made a statement regarding the continuing search for Marcus McKay, Mrs. Mitchelson and, by leave, Hon. Mr. Gerrard commented on the statement. ______________________________ Hon. Ms. Barrett presented: Annual Report of the Organization and Staff Development Agency for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2000. (Sessional Paper No. 196) ______________________________ During Oral Questions, Hon. Mr. Mackintosh rose on a point of order regarding the words "lack of honesty" spoken by the Honourable Member for Lac du Bonnet and requested they be withdrawn. And Mr. Praznik, Hon. Mr. Mackintosh and Mr. Praznik having spoken to the point of order, WHEREUPON, Mr. Speaker ruled that there was a point of order and requested the Honourable Member for Lac du Bonnet to withdraw his comments, Mr. Praznik withdrew his remarks. ______________________________ Pursuant to Rule 23(1), Ms. Korzeniowski, Messrs. Penner (Emerson), Nevakshonoff, Schuler and Jennissen made Members Statements. ______________________________ On motion of Mr. Dewar: ORDERED that the composition of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts be amended as follows: Hon. Mr. Praznik moved an amendment as follows: THAT the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the word "THAT" and substituting the following therefore: Bill (No. 14) The Provincial Railways Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur les chemins de fer provinciaux, be not now read a Second Time but that the Order for Second Reading be discharged, the Bill withdrawn from the Order Paper and the subject-matter thereof referred to the Standing Committee on Industrial Relations. WHEREUPON Mr. Speaker ruled the amendment in order. And the debate continuing on the amendment, And Mr. Praznik and Hon. Mr. Ashton having spoken, And the Question being put on the amendment.
