SECOND SESSION, THIRTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE

 

Prior to Routine Proceedings, Mr. Derkach rose on a Matter of Privilege and moved:

 

THAT this matter be investigated by the Speaker of the House and that the Speaker report back to this House on the specific passage and support by all parties of the ethanol legislation.

 

And Hon. Mr. Mackintosh having spoken.

 

WHEREUPON Mr. Speaker informed the House he would take the matter under advisement.

The House resumed the Interrupted Debate on the Proposed Motion of Hon. Mr. Lemieux:

 

THAT Bill (No. 12) – The Highways and Transportation Amendment and Highway Traffic Amendment Act (Trucking Productivity Improvement Fund)/Loi modifiant la Loi sur la voirie et le transport et le Code de la route (Fonds d'amélioration de la productivité de l'industrie du transport routier), be now read a Second Time and be referred to a Committee of this House.

 

And the debate continuing,

The debate was, on motion of Mr. Dyck, adjourned.

THAT Bill (No. 17) – The Domestic Violence and Stalking Prevention, Protection and Compensation Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur la violence familiale et la protection, la prévention et l'indemnisation en matière de harcèlement criminel, be now read a Second Time and be referred to a Committee of this House.

 

And a debate arising,

 

And Hon. Mr. Mackintosh, Mr. Hawranik, Mrs. Rowat, Messrs. Faurschou, Goertzen and Dyck having spoken,

 

And Mr. Maguire speaking at 5:30 p.m.  The debate was allowed to remain in his name.
