On motion of Mr. Helwer, the Report of the Committee was received. ______________________________ Hon. Mr. Caldwell presented: Final Report of the Commission on Class Size and Composition dated April 2002. (Sessional Paper No. 138) ______________________________ Hon. Mr. Robinson, the Minister of Aboriginal and Northern Affairs made a statement regarding Camperville Water Treatment Plant, Mr. Cummings and, by leave, Hon. Mr. Gerrard commented on the statement. ______________________________ Hon. Mr. Lathlin, the Minister of Conservation made a statement regarding National Forest Week, May 5 to 11, 2002. Mr. Enns and, by leave, Hon. Mr. Gerrard commented on the statement. ______________________________ By leave, Hon. Mr. Smith (Brandon West) introduced Bill (No. 17) – The Cooperatives Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur les coopératives, and outlined the purposes thereof, it was read a First Time. ______________________________
Pursuant to Rule 23(1), Messrs. Helwer, Schellenberg and Hawranik, Ms. Allan and Mrs. Driedger made Members’ Statements. ______________________________ By leave, Hon. Mr. Mackintosh moved: THAT the title of Bill (No. 12) as it appeared in the Notice Paper of December 6, 2001 and currently on the Order Paper under Introduction of Bills be replaced with "The Consumer Protection Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur la protection du consommateur".
