Mr. Schuler – Legislative Assembly of Manitoba request the Minister of Education to reverse the decision to split the Transcona-Springfield School Division and allow it to remain as a whole or to consider immediately convening the Board of Reference to decide the matter (S. Desorcy, M. Kathan, A. Kathan and others)

During Oral Questions, Mr. Speaker interjected and requested that the words "deliberately misled" spoken by the Honourable Minister of Finance, be withdrawn.

WHEREUPON Hon. Mr. Selinger withdrew his remarks.

Pursuant to Rule 23(1), Messrs. Schuler, Nevakshonoff, Faurschou and Struthers and Hon. Mr. Gerrard made Members' Statements.

During Members' Statements, the Honourable First Minister rose on a point of order regarding comments made by the Honourable Member for Springfield with regards to the absence of members at a Committee,

 

And Mr. Schuler, Hon. Mr. Smith (Brandon West) and Mr. Laurendeau having spoken to the point of order,

 

WHEREUPON Mr. Speaker informed the House he would take the matter under advisement.
