Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process used to identify, document, assess, and recognize skills and knowledge. RPL can be used:

  • For a personal assessment to help with:
    • Preparing a portfolio
    • Preparing for an interview
    • Writing a resume
    • Recognizing a need for training
  • To gain credit in post-secondary institutions
  • To advance in the workplace
