Citizens unable to attend one of the scheduled public workshops were encouraged to provide input into the consultation process via an alternative method.

Surveys

Individual and group surveys were available online and in a printed format.

Group Survey - Group surveys were filled out by organizations or groups on behalf of their members. Groups were required to identify themselves and the number of people they represent in order to have their input included.

Individual Survey – Individual surveys were intended for individual citizens and were designed to capture the same information asked from participants in the public workshops. Individual surveys were completed anonymously.

Survey responses and citizen representation were as follows:

Survey Type

Number of Survey Responses

# of Citizens Represented by the Responses

Individual Survey

272

272

Group Survey

12,300

Telephone, email, and letters

Between 30 and 40 telephone comments, written submissions and letters were received as part of the public input process. (In some cases follow-up comments were received when the Intercity Bus team acknowledged the input and thanked the participant. Consequently the exact number is dependent on how the input is counted.)

What happened to the results?

All citizen input was compiled into the public consultation report available on the Results page.
