Applications to the Community Places Program are now available.
The deadline for submitting applications for the Community Places Program is September 11, 2017. It is anticipated that funding decisions will be made by the end of October 2017. Not all eligible projects will receive funding. Due to the compressed timeline for this CPP intake, incomplete applications will not be considered. Note: Supporting documentation will not be accepted after the deadline.
Projects for this intake must be completed by March 31, 2018. If your community organization is planning a project please contact your regional office to discuss your project.
Priority for this intake will be given to projects that focus on the following:
Accessibility - Addressing and reducing barriers to participation for Manitobans regardless of where they live, their age, gender, cultural background, sexual identity, physical or mental ability or income.
Green Space & Active Transportation - Maximizing the use of parks, playgrounds, trails and pathways through planning and program opportunities.
Newcomers - Addressing the unique needs of immigrants and refugees, building on and encouraging involvement in the community.
Projects that involve partnerships between two or more stakeholders or demonstrate broad community support will receive additional priority consideration.
