Livestock Technical Review

 
Before a Municipal Council or Planning District Board considers a conditional use application for a new or expanding large livestock operation (300 or more Animal Units), the project proponent (applicant) is required to complete a Site Assessment Form and follow a process outlined in the Technical Review Committee Regulation, under The Planning Act.  The completed Site Assessment Form is reviewed by the Municipal Council, Planning District Board, Provincial Departments, the public and others.
 
Note: Certain proposals involving the replacement, alteration or expansion of existing animal housing may be exempted from conditional use approvals and provincial technical reviews. To determine if you qualify, refer to the "frequently asked questions" document below.
