Want to learn a trade and earn a wage at the same time? Want a career where you use your mind and your hands, work in other provinces, earn a good wage, and be your own boss?
The program lets you start your apprenticeship training while you are still in high school. It combines regular high school instruction with paid, part-time, on-the-job training.
Not living close to a community college? Nearly 100 programs within Manitoba are recognized as trades-related courses or programs offered by other training institutions. Almost 50 are in senior years schools.
The University College of the North is an institution devoted to community and northern development and reflects the Aboriginal reality and cultural diversity of northern Manitoba. The University College of the North (UCN) has two main campuses...The Pas and Thompson, complete with a full range of services. In addition, the College has six regional centers which are located in Churchill, Cross Lake, Easterville, Flin Flon, Swan River, and Split Lake. UCN''s geographical intake area is almost 80% of the total area of Manitoba.
