Employment opportunities for aboriginal students with the Government of Canada.
Career Focus is designed to provide support to high school and post-secondary teachers who help students access career-related work experience. Instructors identify employers able to provide employment experiences that are related to the career plans of students. Employers receive a wage incentive and may be eligible for training allowances to help create new, career-related jobs for students.
CareerOptions for Students with Disabilities provides provincial government job placements for high school and post-secondary students with disabilities. Full-time summer jobs are available with additional part-time work available during the school year for post-secondary students. Students are assessed on their employment interests, abilities and workplace accommodation needs. Students register through STEP Services at
www.studentjobs.gov.mb.ca .

The Manitoba Labour Board deals with issues in regards to The Labour Relations Act, The Pay Equity Act, The Workplace Safety and Health Act, The Essential Services Act, The Public Schools Act, The Elections Act and The Victims' Rights Act.
Manitoba Mentorships, in partnership with Manitoba employers, universities and colleges, gives post-secondary students the opportunity to develop work skills and earn income. Employers who can provide an average of 8 to 16 hours per week of part-time, career-related work during the school term are eligible to receive wage incentives for up to 200 hours of employment.

An extension of STEP Services that provides part-time employment with provincial government departments and related organizations during the school year.
Quebec Exchange provides Manitoba students with career-related work and cross-cultural experiences. It aslo gives them the opportunity to improve their French language skills through summer work placements in Quebec.
STEP Services is the provincial government's central employment referral program for high school and post-secondary students seeking work in government departments, special operating agencies and Crown corporations. STEP Services provides students with full and part-time jobs, career-related work experience and promotes careers in Manitoba's civil service.
Manitoba Hydro offers positions during the summer and throughout the year. In particular, recent grads in commerce, engineer-in-training and information technology can gain varied work experience on six to12-month assignments.
The Division emphasizes a preventive focus to eliminate workplace and public hazards through education, training, working with employers and employees, and inspections and investigations.
Youth Transition provides recent high school graduates who lack the financial means to attend post-secondary education with paid work experience and a $3,000 bursary to enable them to pursue post-secondary education. Terms of employment are flexible and can vary from 10 - 14 months.
