Fan Favourites

Everyone wanted a glimpse of the gold medal hockey team in action. Without the widespread Olympic television coverage that we have today fans had to either see the games in person or rely on newspaper reporting to capture the long-distance drama, and fans cheered from afar with telegrams instead of text messages. Just after the Olympics the Winnipeg Senior Hockey Club played in an amateur hockey double header in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
