Records of Kennedy’s employment
The Hudson’s Bay Company office in London did its best to maintain up-to-date records of the location and financial standing of all servants. It appears that the HBC’s copy of Kennedy’s first contract did not survive, but his name can be found on the company’s lists of servants beginning in 1799, and the HBCA holds a copy of his second contract, signed in 1801.
