3rd Inter-jurisdictional Conference on Aboriginal Involvement in Natural Resource Management

In 2001, the Government of Saskatchewan had hosted an inter-jurisdictional conference in regards to Aboriginal involvement in Natural Resource Management. The main objective of the conference is to provide a forum in which natural resource managers and Aboriginal partners can share their best practices based on the success and challenges of the past.

In 2003, the Government of Ontario had hosted the 2nd Inter-jurisdictional Conference and in 2005, the Government of Manitoba’s Department of Conservation had hosted the 3rd Inter-jurisdictional Conference on Aboriginal Involvement in Natural Resource Management. In 2007, the Government of Alberta hosted the 4th Inter-jurisdictional Conference from September 10-13, 2007 at the Marriott Edmonton at the River Cree Resort. The 2007 conference informatio can be found at the following link: http://www.international.gov.ab.ca/813.cfm
