Manitoba’s Forestry and Peatlands Branch is proud of the successful Trees for Tomorrow program that exceeded its goal, in planting and providing over six million trees to Manitobans. This first phase was estimated to have achieved a cumulative GHG reduction of about one MT of CO2 by 2042. We would like to thank all Manitobans who participated in the program and made it such a great success!
Manitoba is currently considering programs that will contribute to the growing green economy by engaging Indigenous communities, municipalities and schools in a co-operative approach to investing in our urban and community forests.
If you participated in the previous program or are looking for trees to plant on your private property this spring, please contact our partner: the Manitoba Forestry Association about their programs.
