Canada Parks Day

Canada's Parks Day

The third Saturday in July each year is Canada’s Parks Day! There will be activities galore taking place in parks and historic sites across the country.  Parks Day events are geared towards people of all ages and celebrate Canada’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

In Manitoba’s provincial parks, we celebrate with numerous special events and programs, along with complimentary park entry for the weekend of Canada’s Parks Day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) – no vehicle permits are required!  (Camping fees still apply).

Park Interpreters lead the fun all weekend long with themed amphitheatre presentations, campfire talks and guided hikes.  Interpretive programs are available this weekend at Birds Hill, Hecla/Grindstone, Grand Beach, Saint Norbert, St. Malo Spruce Woods and Whiteshell provincial parks.  Find an interpretive event at one of these parks to celebrate Canada’s Parks Day.  Many other provincial parks celebrate with family fun activities – check for information at the campground office.
