Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship (SD) has developed a designated trail network for motorized vehicles in the Mars Hill Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
Vehicle use in the Mars Hill WMA has increased significantly in recent years. Following extensive discussions and input from local user groups, a designated trail network for motorized vehicles will be implemented over the next six to eight months. The new designated trail network is being implemented to protect wildlife habitat, while still allowing some limited recreational vehicle use in parts of the WMA.
To learn more about why the designated trail network for motorized vehicles is being implemented and how it may affect your use of the Mars Hill WMA, please refer to the FAQs. The changes will not affect Treaty or Aboriginal rights for hunting, trapping, gathering and other traditional activities.
