Caregiver Recognition Day
  • The first Tuesday in April is proclaimed as Caregiver Recognition Day in Manitoba. Caregiver Recognition Day is an important day to increase awareness of the valuable contributions made by all caregivers and reach out to caregivers in your family, workplace or community.
Seniors and Elders Day/Month
  • Each October, many communities in Manitoba participate in Seniors and Elders Month by hosting an event to celebrate seniors. Events highlight intergenerational relationships, recognition of volunteers and promotion of active living.

Manitoba Council on Aging Recognition Awards
  • The Manitoba Council on Aging Recognition Awards promote positive images of aging by showcasing the contributions of older Manitobans.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
