Recognition Awards

Annually, the Manitoba Council on Aging presents awards to Manitobans for their dedicated service to seniors and to our great province. The Manitoba Council on Aging Recognition Awards are offered in the following categories:

  • A senior volunteer who has made extraordinary contributions to lives of individuals of any age;
  • A volunteer of any age who has made extraordinary contributions to the lives of seniors;
  • A staff person working with seniors who has made extraordinary contributions to the lives of seniors; or an
  • Intergenerational groups/initiatives that have made extraordinary contributions through activites that encourage and inspire interaction between younger and older generations.

We invite you to participate in this program by submitting your nominations for these prestigious awards by Friday, September 14, 2012.  The Chair of the Manitoba Council on Aging and the Minister of Healthy Living, Seniors and Consumer Affairs will honour recipients at a recognition ceremony held at the Legislature in October 2012, as part of Seniors’ and Elders’ Month celebrations.
