Manitoba works hard to protect our natural areas by establishing parks, ecological reserves and wildlife management areas, instituting sustainable land planning and management practices, and creating opportunities that allow Manitobans to experience nature first-hand.
We want to continue to expand opportunities to steward our natural areas. As we do so, we want to pay special attention to those areas that are under threat from climate change, such as the boreal forest, wetlands and the North. This will help us ensure our rich natural heritage is there for future generations of Manitobans.
