Q: Who can apply?
A: Manitoba residents who purchase and register their hybrid vehicle in Manitoba are eligible for the $2,000 rebate.

Q: How do I apply for this rebate?
A: You complete a simple, one-step application at the same time that you register your vehicle. Simply tell your MPI broker that you’ve purchased a new hybrid vehicle in Manitoba, and the broker will help you complete and submit your application.

Q: How long do I have to apply for this rebate?
A: Applications must be fi led within two years from the lease or purchase date of your vehicle.

Q: When did the program start and how long will it run?
A: The program offi cially began on November 15, 2006 and will run until November 15, 2008.

Q: I bought my vehicle before November 15, 2006. Am I eligible to receive a rebate?
A: Only hybrid vehicles that are purchased or leased (minimum 2 year lease) between November 15, 2006 and November 15, 2008 will be eligible.

Q: Are all hybrid electric vehicle models eligible for the Manitoba rebate, or just a select few?
A: All hybrid electric passenger cars and light trucks are eligible under this program. The current list of hybrids is reviewed regularly and new vehicles added when they enter the marketplace. For a list of current, eligible, hybrid electric vehicles, visit our eligibility page.

Q: Do used hybrid vehicles qualify?
A: No. This program applies only to NEW hybrid vehicles.

Q: Am I eligible for a rebate if I purchase a hybrid vehicle outside Manitoba, but register it in Manitoba?
A: No. Vehicles purchased outside Manitoba are not eligible for this program.

Q: Can I receive a rebate for vehicles used in my business?
A: Yes, vehicles used for business purposes, including corporate fleet vehicles, are eligible.

Q: Can I benefi t from both the Manitoba rebate and the federal rebate?
