  • Financial Management and Comptrollership – including financial planning and budgeting, control, reporting, analysis and problem solving.

  • ICT Program and Portfolio Management – a new function that will identify, categorize, track and assess all ICT assets, projects, and initiatives. This management information (including associated financial implications) will become a key input for ICT planning.

  • ICT License and Contract Information – recognizes that a significant proportion of ICT services are externally sourced through agreements and licensing. This function is intended to bring order, consistency and efficiency to this key service dimension.

  • ICT Human Resource Development – brings a planning and prioritization (proactive) focus to bear on this critical service success factor. The key challenge in this area is to link and anticipate service and skill requirements to ICT Services Manitoba’s staffing, recruitment, competency and skills development activities.

  • ICT Change Management and Communication – addresses the understanding that the implementation of successful business and organizational change is essentially “all about people” and requires a coordinated set of “change interventions” that supports the organization’s leadership objectives. This activity area will utilize proven “organization and people” strategies (including communication) that will reinforce and support the adoption of new processes and roles.
