The Exploration Activity Tracker site provides you with the tools to quickly and easily track mineral exploration projects and mining activity in Manitoba. The Companies page and Exploration Activity Map will link you to the most current public-domain information available on Manitoba-based exploration projects.

Companies

Visit the Companies page to find out who’s exploring in Manitoba and follow the links to the latest news releases on their Manitoba-based exploration projects and to their company web sites.

Exploration Activity Map

Use the interactive GIS-based map to view current exploration activity across the province; select the Identify tool Identify icon on the map tool-bar and click on project names for commodity, location, company and other details including a link to the latest project-related news releases.

Note: All projects are labelled, but may not be visible at the full provincial view. This is due to limitations in the software. As you zoom in to a region of interest, all project names become visible.

Information sources

Exploration activity information has been compiled solely from sources in the public domain, such as company news releases, mineral tenure information, and geological base-maps. Only projects that are “active” (i.e., currently being worked) are included. The site is updated regularly to ensure that information is as current as possible. For errors or omissions, please contact:

Chris Beaumont-Smith for missed company news releases, or,
Paul Lenton for other errors or omissions.
