Apprenticeship Awards of Distinction

The Apprenticeship Branch and the Apprenticeship Trades Qualifications Board is pleased to announce the 2008 Apprenticeship Awards of Distinction designed to commemorate those that have shared their time and talent to train apprentices thus contributing to the development of certified journeypersons with a special passion and pride for their trade.

Event Details

On October 23, 2008 the second annual “Apprenticeship Awards of Distinction” gala dinner will be held at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel Grand Ballroom. The event will recognize the outstanding contributions that employers, journeypersons and instructors make to the Manitoba Apprenticeship training system and acknowledge the support and commitment of Apprenticeship Provincial Trade Advisory Committee and the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Board members.

The evening will also be an opportunity for Manitoba’s apprentices to shine. Apprentices in the cook trade will design and prepare the dinner menu supervised by a team of chefs from Delta Winnipeg Hotel and instructors from apprenticeship pre-employment programs. Apprentices representing other trade sectors will also be involved in the production of awards and venue decorations.

If you are interested in supporting this event, more information is available by downloading the Sponsorship Information and Application Form. The 2007 video will also provide you with highlights of the event.
