Regulations under the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications
Act establish minimum wage rates for apprentices.
Every employer who enters into an apprenticeship agreement with
an apprentice must ensure that the apprentice is paid at least the
minimum wage rate for that trade.
Use the table below to link to the required minimum wage rate table
for employing regular and SYAO apprentices in a Manitoba designated
trade.
*Note: Effective April 1, 2008
, Provincial Minimum Wage Rates will increase to $8.50/hr. Effective
June 1, 2008 , Minimum Construction Industry Wage Rates (CIWA) for
each trade will also increase.
