Manitoba Career Week Events

To celebrate Manitoba Career Week, the following events will take place at 1000 Waverley Street in Winnipeg:

Take Our Kids to Work Day – a come-and-go event hosted by the Alliance of Manitoba Sector Councils will feature online career exploration, new media games, industry awareness games and career information booths. Parents are invited to drop in with their Grade 9 students and learn about careers in Manitoba.

Wednesday, November 4
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 Career Information and Awareness Evening – an evening event hosted by the Alliance of Manitoba Sector Councils and Workplace Education Manitoba will feature information booths, workshops and presentations geared toward Manitoba citizens who are going through a transition, looking for second careers, re-entering the workforce or new to Manitoba.

Thursday, November 5
5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Opening Doors Parent’s Expo – an all day come-and-go event hosted by the Alliance of Manitoba Sector Councils, and the 17 sectors that it represents, will provide parents and caregivers with tools and resources to guide children in career decision-making. Everyone will receive a Parents' Career Planning Tool Kit.
