Manitoba Advanced Education and Literacy
Adult Learning and Literacy (ALL)
Adult Learning and Literacy (ALL) provides grants to adult learning centres and part-time community-based literacy programs to provide services that focus on upgrading the skills of adult learners. Adult learners can achieve goals such as gaining beginning level to more advanced literacy skills, job readiness training, improving family literacy skills, computer skills upgrading, and obtaining high school credentials so they can access higher education and/or better employment opportunities.
Funding is available for eligible students in the form of loans, grants or specialized bursaries while they attend post-secondary studies. Employees registered under the Apprenticeship program can apply for funding related to their training sessions as well as for a certain amount of living costs. For those students or teachers interested in improving their French language skills, financial assistance combined with unique employment opportunities are available.
