Apprenticeship Trades

Apprenticeship and High School

For Senior Years educators and school guidance counsellors, learn how the Senior Years Apprenticeship Option links regular school instruction with paid, part-time on-the-job apprenticeship training. Students in S3 and S4 can earn both academic and apprenticeship training credits while gaining valuable work experience in a trade.

Program Accreditation

Instructors who deliver trades-related programs can apply to have their programs accredited to industry and Apprenticeship standards. Students who complete an accredited program receive credit towards continued apprenticeship training.

Apprenticeship Information

For Senior Years educators and employment counsellors, get current trade career information for students as well as for adults who want to change careers or become certified in a trade. Information includes details on the apprenticeship training process, trade job descriptions, certification requirements and coordinators assigned to specific trades.
