Apprenticeship

For a person who wants to be a certified trade journeyperson, apprenticeship training offers paid on-the-job learning and sponsored technical training. An employer pays an apprentice an incremental, industry-established wage while learning on the job. The Apprenticeship Branch sponsors an apprentice's technical training at school.

Senior Years Apprenticeship Option

The Senior Years Apprenticeship Option links regular school instruction for S3 and S4 students with paid, part-time on-the-job apprenticeship training. Employers hiring Senior Years apprentices may be eligible for a student wage subsidy through the government's Career Focus Program.

Student Aid

Manitobans with limited finances can achieve their educational goals by applying to Manitoba Student Aid for supplemental assistance for post-secondary studies. The Program provides full and part-time federal and provincial loans, grants, and bursaries, for studies within Manitoba, out-of-province, or out-of-country.
