MANITOBA AG DAYSAGRI-MARKETING CENTRE
| ![]() |
Introduced at the 1991 Manitoba Ag Days, the Agri-Marketing Centre is a unique concept, evolving over the years to remain relevant and beneficial to show organizers and industry-users. This semi-private business venue is located in a separate 2100 square foot room on the show site providing exhibitors and visiting industry professionals with access to a meeting lounge; export planning; sector/market profiles; international visitors/buyers; government-supported programs; wireless internet café; and an exhibitor message centre. Private industry and public sponsors cooperate to cost-share the centre’s day-to-day hospitality and participate in its ‘Early Bird Breakfast and Export Forum’ mini-seminar feature. Dialogue between participating industry experts and attendees is encouraged to explore pertinent issues facing the new and established exporter – i.e. country/region markets; trade barriers; emerging trends; etc. Held prior to the show’s daily opening, guest speaker(s) from visiting trade groups, as well as industry peers are invited to participate in the program. ‘Ag Days’ has grown to become Canada’s largest, most diverse indoor agriculturally-focused trade show – i.e. the 2009 event attracted upwards of 540 exhibitors with traffic levels for all three days set at 34,000. This premier Canadian event has an international focus and is billed as “100% Agriculture” showcasing all aspects of crop production, grain handling, livestock production, plus emerging technologies in grain-based, value-added processing.
