Mexico
Summary of Recent Events:
Manitoba’s foreign representative in Mexico, Ms. Gloria Garcia, visited the province from September 14 to September 18, 2009. During this visit, Ms. Garcia met with 16 Manitoban companies on a one-on-one basis to discuss their market information needs in Mexico. The nature of the information requests varied from competitive analysis reports to the development of potential distributors and/or clients in the market.
Educational seminars on the Mexican market were also part of this market initiative; two pertained to “How to Conduct Business in Mexico” to audiences in Winnipeg and Brandon and a third seminar focused on the “Food Ingredients Market” in Mexico offering facts and trends in the food sector in that Latin American market.
Manitoba Trade will be scheduling another visit from Ms. Garcia to Winnipeg in the Spring of 2010. Please make sure to check our website for upcoming market initiatives.
