The Seminar “Opportunities in the ICT Sector in Mexico” brought together the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City, the Canadian Consulate in Guadalajara, Export Development Canada and Manitoba Trade and Investment to talk about this thriving sector in one of the priority markets in the world for Canada and Manitoba. A group of Manitoban companies attended the Seminar where they had the opportunity to interact with the market specialists mentioned above and learn more on this Latin American market.

  • Mexico is one of the leading economies in Latin America and represents the four most important market for Canada and Manitoba;
  • Canada exported more than $528 million in ICT products and services to Mexico in 2006;
  • Manitoba's exports to Mexico in the same sector represented 13 percent of the national figure.
