Manitoba Trade and Investment has identified two construction trade shows with a very strong regional influence in Mexico |
| Construexpo 2006, Jalisco. Attracts more than 6,000 professionals and companies in the construction sector of the central western region of Mexico. | Sustainable Building 2006 Congress and Expo, Monterrey. This is the first-time new construction green and sustainable technologies will be presented to the industry in Mexico. Manitoba Trade and Investment organized an outreach mission to Mexico, which focused on the states of Jalisco and Nuevo Leon. Working closely with our partners in Mexico arrange one-on-one meetings with agents, importers and distributors in both states were arranged.
During this unique mission we attended the 51st Livestock Trade Show in Jalisco; “Expo Ganadera”. Expo Ganadera showcased bovine, swine, ovine and equine and has become the leading livestock trade show in Mexico. This show is held in the state of Jalisco which is the number one state in Mexico for swine production and number two for bovine production. Northern Mexico is home to an important livestock industry in the country and Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Leon, is in the economic centre of the area. The proximity of this region to the biggest market in the world, the United States, has required of their livestock industry to be highly competitive.
