The Heavy Vehicle Technology Workshop was staged by Red River College, in collaboration with the National Research Council - Industrial Research Assistance Program, Westest and the Vehicle Technology Centre. The Workshop was geared towards engineers, business developers, technicians, technologists, instructors, and researchers working in the field of Heavy Vehicle Technology.

This was a great opportunity to network with current and prospective partners and suppliers, while learning about the latest techniques, projects, capabilities, and opportunities in your field.  The day was packed with presentations by local, national, and international experts on subjects in Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing and Design.  Keynote speakers included: Craig Shankwitz, Director, Intelligent Vehicles Laboratory, University of Minnesota, and Paul Soubry, President and CEO of New Flyer Industries.

Westest Adds to Vehicle Testing Capabilities
With the financial support of the Vehicle Technology Centre, Western Canada Testing (WESTEST) of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba has expanded its vehicle testing capabilities with the addition of a "tow dynamometer".
