Assiniboine River

The water level of Shellmouth Reservoir has changed very little in the past 48 hours and stood at1410.26 feet this morning.  The total outflow was 1650 cfs this morning of which 250 cfs was flowing through the conduit. The inflow continues to decline and stood at 1520 cfs this morning. The reservoir is expected to rise to 1410.4 feet Tuesday to Wednesday due to rain and moderate north winds. The conduit flow will be reduced this evening and/or tomorrow morning in order to keep the total outflow from exceeding 1700 cfs.

If rainfall in the reservoir area today and Tuesday exceeds 20 mm or if strong north winds develop, the peak reservoir level and outflow during the next two days may be a little higher than indicated above.

A flood sheet for the Assiniboine River is attached.
