Water Use Licensing - Water Use Fees
Water use fees apply to Industrial and other purposes only. Municipal, Agricultural and Irrigation projects are exempt. Under the Water Rights Regulations that came into effect on April 18, 1987, charges are levied for applications for Water Rights Licenses and annual water use. The water use charges are designed to make major users more aware of their rate of consumption and encourage conservation, where applicable.
