Operating Licence for a Public or Semi-public Water System

The operating licence application form includes a checklist that outlines the documents that must accompany the submission for the application to be considered satisfactory (Section 8 of the Drinking Water Safety Regulation)

Water System owners may request an amendment to an operating licence by submitting the following request form (Subsection 10(1) of the Drinking Water Safety Regulation)

Water System owners are required to renew their operating licence 60 days prior to the expiration date by submitting the following renewal form to the regional Drinking Water Officer (Subsection 14(1) of the Drinking Water Safety Regulation)

Water System Monitoring and Reporting Requirements

The Drinking Water Safety Regulation (MR 40/2007) Schedule A Frequency of Testing for Disinfection Residuals and Sampling for Bacteriological Standards contains the minimum requirements for testing disinfectant residuals in the treated water and the minimum number of samples to be collected and submitted with regard to bacteriological standards.

Please obtain Sample and Station Numbers from your regional Drinking Water Officer prior to sampling.
