Manitoba Alternative Feeds Listing
Many different feeds (screenings, hulls, weeds, sprouted grains, pellets, etc.) can be used as part of the ration as long as the complete ration is balanced for energy, protein, vitamins and minerals. You must get a feed test done on the alternative feeds so you can balance the rest of the ration to make sure your livestock nutritional needs are met.
Information on using alternative feeds for formulating rations is available on the MB Agriculture Beef Page.
The Alternative Feeds Listing has moved. These listing can now be found under the Alternative Feeds tab on the Manitoba Hay Listing Service .
