FIPPA Awareness for Government Department and Agency Employees

For employees of government departments or agencies, IPPS offers a FIPPA Awareness Session regularly throughout the year. This session will equip employees with an introduction to The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). More specifically, the session will provide an understanding of what to expect if records for which they are responsible are the subject of an access request. The session will also inform employees of what their responsibilities and obligations are with respect to protecting the personal information they have about individuals as they carry out their daily activities.

Registration information and other details for upcoming FIPPA Awareness Sessions will be communicated to your departmental or agency Access and Privacy Coordinator approximately one month before each session date. For further information, please contact Barb Devlin at 204-945-0513.

If your area has a group of employees interested in this session, arrangements may be made for us to come to you. Please contact Barb Devlin at 204-945-0513 to discuss.
