Heritage Resources Conservation Grant

The province is investing $15 million for the creation of the Heritage Resources Conservation Grant to ensure existing heritage resources are conserved and maintained for future generations. The fund will be managed by The Winnipeg Foundation with annual income from invested funds to be available for grants administered by Sport, Culture and Heritage. This will replace the Designated Heritage Building Grant Program. The primary intent for this new grant program is supporting conservation of existing physical structures such as designated buildings and sites.

The new grant program is now under development. Eligibility will be as inclusive as possible. Further detail on the eligibility criteria and application process is planned to be announced in late 2019. It is anticipated that the first deadline for submission of applications will be early in 2020.
