What is the Rural Library Cooperative Technology Grant Program?
This grant program provides financial assistance toward innovative technology projects. This may include application of computer and communications technologies to advance library cooperation, achieve economies of scale, increase expertise within Manitoba’s library community or stimulate broader technology infrastructure and development.
Who can apply?
Public library boards established under Part II or Part III of The Public Libraries Act may apply for a Cooperative Technology Grant under this program.
What is the criteria?
Projects are approved on a variety of criteria, including level of cooperation between libraries, cost and sustainability, implementation timeframe, projected lifetime of the project, expandability and value to the larger library community.
What is the funding formula?
Projects are assessed and funded individually on a cost-share basis.
