Originally a Methodist church, Roland United was built in 1911 to designs by the well-known Winnipeg architectural firm James Chisholm and Son. The church is an excellent example of the changing architectural climate of the times. In a more modern approach, the architects eschewed surface detail and created an uncluttered building that still respects the past by incorporating traditional elements like a large rose window and round-arched windows. The brick church boasts a stained glass creation from the early 1960s by the renowned Manitoba artist Leo Mol.
