During the course of 40 years, beginning in 1903, Dr. A.J. Hunter left an indelible mark on Teulon. While performing missionary and medical duties for local Ukrainians, he also established a lodging for nurses, had built the first hospital in Teulon, established the Teulon Boys' Home (built in 1911) and the Teulon Girls' Home (built in 1918), both facilities created to provide education for rural students. This house was built around 1905 for Dr. Hunter. It was moved in 1985 to its present site to serve as a museum in his honour.
