Manitoba Bridge Grant - Home Based Businesses

The Manitoba government is increasing its budget for the Manitoba Bridge Grant and will be making a fourth round of up to $5,000 payments for eligible businesses and organizations to help protect them through the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible businesses that received prior bridge grant payments will automatically receive a fourth payment of up to $5,000 beginning as early as Friday, May 14 and will be notified of the deposit via email.



The intake window for the Manitoba Bridge Grant Program for Home Based Businesses (Stream B) is now closed. The Manitoba government continues to review and process the applications it received.

No. The deadline for applications was March 31, 2021. The intake period is now closed.


Yes. The grant is taxable and businesses will need to declare it as taxable income. Please note there will be no T4A slips issued.


No, as long as you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will not have to pay back the grant funds.


If you would like to opt out of the program, repay the funds, or if a payment has been made to you in error, please contact the program administration office at BGPhome@gov.mb.ca to make repayment arrangements.
