What we do…

We provide economic, statistical and investigative support services to the Division.

Our four main activities are:

1. Investigate marketplace problems
2. Analyze the need for new legislation
3. Develop legislation
4. Participate in a variety of action groups
   For example, the interprovincial groups harmonizing consumer legislation throughout Canada and the industry-government-consumer group that developed the Business Practices Act.
