2019 Flood Preparedness Seminars

The Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization 2019 Flood Preparedness Seminars are designed to provide local authorities, emergency services personnel and volunteers with the latest forecast on water levels for the major water systems in the province. Invited to attend the half-day event are:

  • Mayors/Reeves
  • Councils
  • Chief Administrative Officers
  • Emergency Coordinators
  • Chiefs and Councils of Manitoba First Nations
  • Emergency Services staff
  • Non-Government Organizations (NGO)

Participants

Municipal, Provincial, First Nations, Federal and NGO personnel that are expected to play a role prior to, during and after flood operations.

  • Tuesday, March 12, 2019 (9:00 a.m. – noon) – Assiniboine and Souris River Basins – Agricultural Extension Centre (Classroom A, top floor / east side), 1129 Queens Avenue, Brandon
  • Wednesday, March 13, 2019 (9:00 a.m. – noon) – Interlake, Winnipeg River Basin – Selkirk Recreation Complex (lower hall / east entrance), 180 Easton Drive, Selkirk

Cost

There is no registration fee. Accommodation and transportation costs are the responsibility of participant or sponsor.
