NOTICE: Postal Disruption Update
Due to the Canada Post strike, Manitoba Families has stopped sending all mail through Canada Post effective September 25, 2025. You can pick up cheques at the following locations.
Manitoba Supports for Persons with Disabilities (MSPD)
- In Winnipeg: 114 Garry Street, starting Wednesday October 1.
- All other communities: your local EIA office. Contact the office to determine when cheques are available for pickup.
Employment and Income Assistance (EIA)
- If you receive services at Access Downtown (640 Main Street, Winnipeg): 128 Market Ave, starting Wednesday October 1.
- All other Winnipeg-based EIA recipients: your local EIA office, starting Wednesday October 1.
- All EIA recipients outside Winnipeg: your local EIA office. Contact the office to determine when cheques are available for pickup.
Trade vendors, landlords, service providers and income supplement program recipients

Request and Justification Forms
The Disability and Health Supports Unit (DHSU) follows current partner program policies and legislation to determine eligibility for medical supply/equipment and diet requests. All requests must be completed by a health professional using the following forms:

- Therapeutic Diet and Nutrition Supplement Request and Justification Form (PDF 176KB)
- Wheelchair Seating Component Request and Justification Form (PDF 411KB)
