Disability Income Support Program
News and Updates
May 2022
There are many details of the program that are still in progress.
- The Disability Support Regulation will have many program details, and is currently being drafted.
- The regulation will be posted online for 45 days to allow community members to provide their feedback and request changes.
- The regulation will be ready for Fall 2022.
- We are going to hire consultant from the community to develop the disability impact assessment. This consultant will work collaboratively with community stakeholders to design a process that is fair, equitable, and accessible.
We want to hear from you!
We are planning a series of community discussions to get feedback on the new program. Please visit EngageMB (https://engagemb.ca/manitoba-disability-community) to sign up for project updates and learn when in-person and virtual engagement will be held later this spring.
If you have any questions or feedback you would like to share before then, please email disabilitysupport@gov.mb.ca.
