Proof of age

Must be at least eighteen (18) years old; the application must include a copy of identification that has date of birth (ex: driver’s license, valid passport, birth certificate).  Photocopy of proof of age document is acceptable.

New: Accessing Criminal Record Checks during COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, some jurisdictions have experienced restricted access to in-person application for criminal record checks. Please see memo and form for temporary provisions:

Proof of Criminal Records Check

Must provide original and current (no more than sixty (60) days old) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Screening document.  A fee is assessed for the criminal record check (allow at least 10 days for processing).

This is a record about an individual obtained from a law enforcement agency (ex: Winnipeg Police Service, RCMP) stating whether or not a person has convictions or outstanding charges awaiting court disposition under any federal, provincial or territorial enactments.

Proof of Child Abuse Registry Check

Must provide the original and current (no more than sixty (60) days old) Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check. A fee is assessed for the child abuse registry check (allow six to eight weeks for processing). This document is available through application or in person at:
