The results of competitive bidding on May 13, 2020 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Agriculture and Resource Development, resulted in a total of $33,493.44 being added to provincial revenue.
Three lease parcels, covering 96 hectares (237.22 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $31,957.44. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $332.89 per hectare ($134.72 per acre).
Cougar Creek Land Ltd paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $525.64 per hectare ($212.72 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the second sale scheduled for 2020. The next sale will be held on August 12, 2020. The deadline for posting requests is May 15, 2020.
